AI for Education is the Next Big Trend
CB Insights has named Korbit Technologies to their 2000’s top AI 100 rankings, highlighting the 100 most promising private artificial intelligence companies to watch in the world.
“We are delighted to see our contributions are being recognized by CB Insights. We will keep working on our mission – to deliver high-quality education to the world,” said Iulian Serban, CEO of Korbit Technologies.
This is indeed a game-changer for both EdTech and “AI for social good” communities since Korbit is the first and only North American company in EdTech to be chosen for this great honour.
Till 2019, there are 34 known EdTech startups in Montreal. Korbit hopes that this will encourage other EdTech companies to develop their vision in order to make educational technologies more accessible and diversified for everyone.
The top AI 100 companies were carefully selected from nearly 5,000 companies within diverse fields of study and the evaluation was based on factors like patent activity, business relations, investor profile, news sentiment analysis, market potential, competitive landscape, team strength, and tech novelty.
Korbit Technologies recently closed its $2.8M seed round in late 2019. Since then, the team had doubled the size in order to build its pan-Canadian online learning platform. In March 2020, it is launching a new personalized online learning platform for data science skills to better respond to the exponential demand.
“This new online course will enhance students’ skills and understanding on subjects like probability, statistics, linear regression and logistic regression,” explained Mihai Gheorghian, CMO of Korbit Technologies, “Korbit’s interactive learning system powered by AI is building the future of online education, which is full of market potential and interest.”
