Open Position: Sales Representative for AI Education Startup

We are looking for a highly motivated, full-time Sales Representative to land new enterprise customers and achieve our sales targets in Canada and the United States. You’ll work alongside world-class researchers and engineers to develop the future of enterprise training: AI tutors which teach employees through personalized curricula, interactive exercises/projects and personalized feedback.

Korbit was founded by ambitious Ph.D. researchers from the Mila Research Lab and Cambridge University, and is backed by leading investors and world-renowned scientists (including Silicon Valley pioneer Vinod Khosla and AI pioneer Yoshua Bengio). The Korbit learning platform has taught over 10,000 students and professionals to date and has demonstrated substantial gains in learning outcomes and motivation. Korbit has been recognized among the top Canadian Tech Startups and by newspapers such as Bloomberg and Les Affaires. Korbit also won both the 2020 EnlightEd Award and the C2 2020 Emerging Entrepreneurs Contest.

You’ll be pitching and selling the Korbit learning platform to various enterprise customers who have a need for training/upskilling their teams in data science, machine learning, coding skills and related areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for full sales process, from lead generation and prospecting, to closing new customers
  • Build potential prospects list through research, and qualify new sales leads through direct outreach efforts 
  • Schedule meetings and conduct presentations with prospects 
  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to understand pain points 
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products and services to acquire new customers 
  • Business development, including reworking sales material, pitch deck, identifying opportunities for the customers and our company
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects 
  • Propose new sales and outreach tactics
  • Account management and development for existing customers, including identifying opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, customer success, and product teams, including communicating product requirements and feedback

Who we are looking for:

  • Eligible to work in Canada in the next 12 months at least
  • Fluent in both English and French
  • Highly-motivated and target-driven with proven success in client-facing sales roles
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills 
  • Able to prioritize opportunities and manage time effectively 
  • Detail-oriented and conscientious with customer follow-up 
  • Entrepreneurial approach to work, prospecting, and client engagement 
  • Interest in emerging technologies with a focus on AI 
  • Interest in Education, Corporate Training, Personalized Learning  
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
